How are you capping these Monday pitchers?
Interested to hear how some of you are looking at three starting pitchers tomorrow who did not pitch in 2009:

    Ben Sheets (OAK)
    Shaun Marcum (TOR)
    Jake Westbrook (CLE)

How much weight are you giving their spring numbers? Got be a lot of arenaline flowing for all three pitching not only on Opening Day but making their first regular season appearances in at least 18 months.

Where can I find spring training numbers for players? I've been having trouble tracking any down (other than just looking at box scores).

I really don't think Sheets has it anymore. Hasn't done anything since the injury but give up hits.

Mariners -120 seems like a very good play IMO.

I was thinking that, but for some reason I'm hesitant to fade Marcum.

http://espn.go.com/mlb/springStats/_...hou/type/pitch That link will take you Houston's pitching stats this season, and from there it's pretty easy to get to other teams.

I'm gonna stay away. I didn't read enough individual team coverages by their home newspapers this year outside of about 5 teams

shouldn't even be wagering on bases yet. in my 20+ years experience of betting bases, a pitcher needs at least 2 starts under his belt for the new season just to get some sort of stats going to cap from (really should be 4). the spring stats are of little value. actually zero on my books.

fade Sheets .... terrible spring, got crushed. I don't get how seattle isn't favored by more, but I"ll probably unload on the M's.

I think it's safe to say Marcum is back.... I think the rest of the pen forgot to show up though.
