Saturday

I was looking at the pitching match ups for tomorrow and noticed we have 2 games that are very interesting to me.

Early game at 1:05 eastern Astros against the Cubs. Here we have a good team going against a bad team, yet when I look at the pitching match ups I see Astros dealing their ACE in Oswalt going against the Cubs FILL in 5th starter who is only there cause Ted Lilley is out for a while.

Yes Astros are bad, yet they are still a Major League team and with Oswalt pitching, he could very well shut the Cubs down. Not to mention Astros should be able to hit Gorzelanny. Therefore I am taking the Astros at plus money.

Game 2 is a late game at 10:00 Eastern time. Here we have Padres verses D-backs. On the mound for both teams is Correia verses Kris Benson. Here we go with Padres # 2 starter, who should have been their #1 starter in my mind verses another FILL in who has yet to pitch acting in the roll of a 5th starter for the D-backs.

Padres had a very emotional come back tonight at home and I think that will carry over into Saturday, so I will also take them small at -130.

So I like these two match ups tomorrow guys!

Interesting thing is both pitchers I am going against used to be a Pirate.

Mike what do you think about a FF play on Astros as well. I like them for the game but we have seen how crazy Cubbies have been playing the final few innings. I just see value in both and was wondering if you felt there was as well.

I do, however G is good for a few innings so not sure. I hope he gets hit hard and early witch would play right into your bet.

I honestly like it but I just can't ever finding myself betting first 5 against home teams.
