I see it was applied in the 2005 NLDS . Best records were Cards ,Braves ,Padres, and Astros won the wild card but they arranged it , wtf does that mean ?( whatever that means ) so they made the rule then or it was already a rule ? I dont get it . They arranged it where the Astros played the Braves the team with 2nd best record and the Cards played the Padres .
They want to make sure the 2 best teams (teams with best record ) dont have to play each other in the first round , okay , thats bs but I understand .
In reality they want to have the RSox playing the Yanks in a best of 7 championship series so thay can make 300 million dollars off the bs !!!Comment
