Expect the Mets to start out slow just as they do every year. While the Marlins always jump off to a hot start. Wish there were a little bit more value against Santana at home though.

Pirates +130 to bet 1 unit

Pirates always start out hot, even as a Pirates fan I have to giggle a little at the fact that Padilla is starting out for the Dodgers?

Giants -126 to win 2 units

Astro's without Berkman, Oswalts doesn't usually do well to start the year out and takes him about half the season to get into form. Expect this one to be low scoring but Giants win. Love the value with one of the best pitchers in the league too

Wandy is always a solid pitcher at home while Zito has deffinatly struggled in the last few years. Doesn't have much of a fastball anymore, his curve isn't as good. He's not good on the road either.

Mariners +118 to bet 1 unit

I know I'm gonna regret this but I have a feeling Snell turns his career around out of Pittsburgh.

Dempster had a pretty good year last year, but he terrible on the road and great at home. I think that stays the same this year. Also the Braves looked great in the first game while the Cubs looked dysfunctional

Split yesterday and went 1-1. Brad Penny pitched well but Arroyo pitched just as well. Twins got it done pretty well last night.

Braves -110 to win 1 unit

Hudson's first game out. Never believed in the whole cross country thing were people use that as an excuse to bet against a team. It's just a 4 hour flight in a luxury jet, not like they are pulling horse and carriage. Going with them, got shutout yesterday think they bounce back after that.

Tigers -150 to win 1 unit

Was gonna go with the Indians but someone's writeup basically changed my mind.

Kansas City +140 to bet 2 units

Taking a risk with this one, but Wakefield can either be great or horrible. On the road last year he did not pitch well. Kansas City, just like the Pirates usually start out decently well as well. Won the series with Tigers, think they win the series with the Bosox too.

Zambrano struggles in the early season and really hasn't been that great since he get his new extension, Cubs also not playing very good baseball so far this year other then one game basically

I might be putting my life in my hands betting on the Cubs but I realized yesterday the Reds are horrible.

Might not seem intelligent to bet against one of the best pitchers in the league, especially 2 units but I don't think the Brewers get swept at home, especially not on Sunday night baseball where the home team wins more then loses.

Cubs home opener as much as a I hate the ****s. Dempster was great last week on the road against the Braves. He was great at home last year. I think all signs show the Cubs should win.

Also a home opener, but this is the first time they open this field. Twins are playing great baseball and they've won both series that theyve played in so far.

Just do not have a good feeling about the Cubs or Zambrano this year. Particularly Zambrano who has seemingly screwed me in one form or fashion every time he pitches a day game.

Hudson had a great first start against the Giants and had the game stolen from him by the bullpen and Renteria revenge 2 run homerun. The Padres are worse offensively (despite putting up like 12 the other day in one inning) then the Giants. Hudson should pitch a solid game today

Angels +158 to bet 1 unit

Hughes is still not a proven starter. A little risk in this one but I don't think Hughes should be favored so big against Kazmir who is known to always have good games against the Yankees and the Red Sox.

I personally always felt that Livan Hernandez has been undervalued his whole career. The guy is capable of pitching a great game. While I think the line is actually so large because of how Wolf pitched against the Cards last Sunday night. I think he doesnt do as well today and has a let down game

White Sox -120 to win 2 units

Indians had a good couple of games in a row but this team is just not good. Peavy showed mow them down and I think this line is unbelievable value for Peavy when he should be more like -150 IMO. Indians have a strange habit of leaving men on base all the time too

Kansas City +173 to bet 1 unit

Taking a stab at this one, think it stands a chance

Hopefully at the end of today I won't be saying "Don't bet on shitty teams

I was confident with Lilly in his first game back just based on adreline. He might be a wildcard for a little while. D-backs are playing somewhat well this season at 10-11 while the Cubs just lost 2 of 3 to the Nationals at home. Worth the price to take the D-backs

Risky one, considering how well Randy Wells has pitched. But in his 4 games that hes played, 3 of them where good and all 3 were in the road. He got crushed against the Brewers at home for 10 hits in 6 innings. Think we might see the same, especially with how the D-backs have been swinging the bat of late

Seattle -147 to win 2 units

This is a risky one, but just like Lilly last week I expect Lee to start out really well and slowly go down hill after that. The Mariners are 7-2 at home right now while the Rangers are struggling a bit on the road.
