ST.LOUIS +100(4X)Listed. This line is suspiciously low, Rodriguez last 3 outings 20 IP a 0.90 ERA and WHIP OF 0.95. Hawksworth is good but not that good to be a PICK vs. a hot HOUSTON pitcher. The books know more than me and this line just sticks out that much to me.!! If you have followed my cappin from back to college football and basketball, whenever I have said "this line is suspiciously high or low" that game has come in about 70% of the time(I think its higher closer to 80%). The AL meets the NL in the ALL STAR game tonite , this is usually not a great game to bet on and its no different today. The total is 8.5.Fourteen selected players will not be playing either sidelined by injuries or because they pitched on Sunday. Please note the start time of 5:00 PST. The setting sun will cause very bad shadowes( Angel stadium considered the worst for shadows in the majors) in the early going, makeing it very hard for the hitter to see the ball. Todays games: Todays games brings about a uniqie cappin angle.It is the only day of the season where the home team has an distinct advantage.(IMO) IT has to do with traveling after the AllStar break. Agree or not it has served me well in the past.Over the AllStar break the players are scattered away on vacation doing whatever.They all dont travel back together to their next game. This breaks up routine wheather its batting practice(which some miss out on) or just being in sync with normal activity. It seems that the traveling team is effected by the time off and travel more than the home team. Good luck guys.!!Comment -

Both pitchers have pitched well, Hammel last 3 starts a 3.26 ERA with a 1.190 WHIP and Arroyo last 3 has a 2.37 ERA with a WHIP of 1.000. Career vs each team:Arroyo has a 3.89 ERA and WHIP of 1.405 vs COLO. and Hammel vs Cincy has a 2.46 ERA and WHIP of 0.546.When I cap most of the time Career #s hold more importance over recent pitching performance, there for advantage ROCKS. Also Cincy has not scored in 19 consecitive innings. And over the last 3 seasons the rocks are 12-1 vs. Cincy.
