    Baseball System
I'm considering following a 3 game chase system following the best pitcher available each day?

    Ex.
Game 1 of a series = Lay enough to win 1 unit on Giants (Lincecum)
if win, start new series, if lose
Game 2 of a series = Lay enough to earn Game 1 loss + 1 unit on Philly (Halladay)
if win, start new series, if lose
Game 3 of series = Lay enough to cover Game 1+2 + 1 unit on Yankees (Sabathia)
Win or lose start a new series.

Of course the pitchers will vary, but trying to get a teams Ace's each day.

Anyone think it'd be a decent system?

it'll definitely lose at least once this season if not more, you'd be surprised. Have you done any research for this system?
of course, if you lose a chase you really fukk yourself over.

IMHO its not a good idea

i think you could refine this system with a few small changes. i will probably be doing something similar with a handful of pitchers.

      some thoughts...

-only play the pitcher if he is playing at home
-only play the pitcher if he is pitching against an inferior team and inferior pitcher (this has discretion, but basically dont play lincecum at halladay)

-if you are patient and wait for the above matchups when an ace is pitching at home against a #4 or #5 starter, you will get some wins. also you can look at playing the -1 RL to lower the juice

-negative in this system, is you will be paying high juice every game with these matchups

i kinda of like the idea of the system that plays the biggest favorite of the day on the runline. no juice, and if you lose, you chase for a few more games.

IMO Baseball is too unpredictable to only chase those top pitchers.

How are you going to define "best" pitcher? On any given day you could have Sabbathia, Halladay, Lincecum, etc., etc.,

I doubt this would work over the long term
