Nomar, retires as a Red Sox
nice to see this..... its a shame there is really about a .1 % chance of seeing a player come up through an organization and play there his whole career in baseball anymore....

but at least its nice to see a player that "belongs" with a team, find his way home before its all over

Sox did give Nomar a ring in '04 even though he was traded at deadline.

Good player and all that, but I hated the way he stepped out of the box and adjusted his glove after every pitch, even if he didn't swing. Drove me nuts and I hated it. The umps should have shut him down. I would have liked to see him play 25 years earlier, he wouldn't have had a cheekbone left after Drysdale & Gibson got through with him.

He was an obvious steroid guy. He was on Mitchell report. His skills greatly diminished after he stopped taking them.
I group him with Luis Gonzales - Jeff bagwell - palmero
