    Who has the hot bats?
    Hello ladies and gents.

In this thread I am going to be tracking two things that I will rate teams by:

Total runs scored divided by total innings plays [A]

    more important indicator IMO:

Total innings with run scored divided by total innings played [B.]

lastly which teams are in the top 5 and bottom 5 at any point in time.

I will be looking at using this for picking my winning team and for game totals. For game totals I am going to track total lines per day and fine an "MLB closing line game total avg."

Spring training is underway but only a few days in so as of 3/4 here are the results thusfar.

two things first of all. This is to get ideas spring training is nothing like regular season. Second, at this point the template is set up and I have very little data. I may experiment with a system to create picks by this is a stats service from me to you, and I always love feedback/ideas from you guys.

Team rank (lowest to highest) criteria [A]:
    Minnesota Twins
    Arizona Diamondbacks
    Boston Red Sox
    Pittsburgh Pirates
    Philidelphia Phillies

For now I am not going to bother much with [C]. I think the [b] will be the most important indication of the value of a team. I will update again when we have more meaningful data from Spring training. Once regular season starts this study will begin again from scratch because this data should only at the point be taken lightly. Probably not until June will this data be useful at all, but it is good to start it going.
