Razz, why was Farnsworth in there in the 8th ahead of Bruney? I know both have had control problems, but Farnsworth just doesn't exude any kind of confidence out there. As a Sox fan, I love seeing him pitch in a close game.

Yeah. Even though the Red Sox are probably a better team than the Angels, I would feel 10x better playing Boston than LAA. It's an odd situation. The Yankees want no part of the Angels, the Angels want no part of the Red Sox, and the Red Sox want no part of the Yankees. Everybody wants the Indians.

He actually had been pitching really well - no runs his last seven appearances - and I think Torre's philosophy at this point in the season is to play the hot hand.

It's just so nice to actually have a defined future with Wang, Hughes, Kennedy, Joba, etc. Cashman (or someone) finally wised up and realized you can't mortgage every asset every year.
