I used to think Bartolo, but Mussina has looked like the ultimate gas can lately. My vote goes for the Moose. I see no hope for him ever again. At least, if Bartolo chills on the donuts, I think he could still be somewhat useful.

Watching this, I almost feel sorry for the Yankees. However, I must specify "almost".

Incidentally, has he got another year left on his contract?

          Yes...and I think it's at 11.5 million...Colon doesn't make near that much either...

Is that one million for each earned run in his ERA? I remember the good old days when Kenny Rogers pitched for the Yankees and got torched every so often. "The Gambler" was one of my favorites.

Some of these older pitchers are hitting the wall fast..even Clemens is average, but at 1 mil a start that's not good enough...it would be nice to have Mussina vs Colon, that total would be like 11 1/2 and I would take the over in a second...

I loved Sutcliffe saying throughout the ESPN telecast that Mussina's clearly hurt. Maybe he's just washed up you stupid alcoholic. How does this guy still have a job? I'd rather listen to Eric Young.

It is amazing how some of these guys get paid to do color commentary. Makes me wonder what the executives who hire these guys are thinking.

Sutcliffe is a total drunk; you can hear it in him as he gets more and more wasted as the game goes on.
