At this line, +175, I think the Dodgers are a great play. Maine has been a bit off recently, not to mention the Mets' pen as well, notably Wagner.

David Wells was terrible at the end for SD, but he always rebounds back when you think he's done for. I think this will be his last year, but I think he'll end with some decent starts, and I think tonight will be one. I think he'll go 6 innings, give up 3, and have LA in the game in the late innings.

He's also one of my favorite athletes in any sport ever, but I don't think I'm biased, I think LA at +175 has very good value.

FWIW, Wells said this week about getting back in the majors "I may not look sexy, but I feel sexy". I feel you brother, I feel you. My money's on LA in this one.

If you look at Wells' record this year, it seems that his pitching troubles started when he got suspended for 7 games for hurting the feelings of a girlie umpire the second week of July. Up to that point he was great. After that he fell apart. I think the two things are related.

Now, with a little time off, he has had time to sort things out and decompress. And, he has something to prove.

I think he pitches one of the best games of his career.

Sorry double B, but I missed this one before. I did take my chances with Wells and the Dodgers for 1 unit tonight.

I busted out laughing when Wells got that bunt single
