Read an article about how he really got into shape over the last five years and that has helped him out. Maybe Wickman should go on a diet?

Getting in shape hasn't helped his ERA, which I think is still over 5.00 at home.

Just goes to show that Patrick, Bigboydan or I could win 20 games with the Red Sox offense and bullpen for support. JJ Gold might win 15.

wakefield isnt a bad pitcher? if u look in his early games this yr he had i tink atleast 3 losses due 2 lack of run support(im talking in 1st 10 games pitched) and his era was in top 5 at that time but his record was still sumtin like 5-3 cuz of the lack of run support.

Not at all. It's of course surprising that he has a decision in every game he's pitched. And sure, he's a bit lucky. DiceK has been a better pitcher for the sox and has a worse record because of less run support.

He's always been streaky, and when he gets that ball going he's tough to hit. His career stats are pretty solid.

And he has the worst contract (from a players perspective) in baseball. It's a 1 year, 4 million$ deal, that the Red Sox have the option of renewing every year.
