    Royals/Rangers
KC's Nunez is 2-0 with a 1.13 ERA and a 1.000 WHIP. He has a 1.12 ERA in all his starts and 2.25 ERA on the Road. Last three games he's only given up 2 runs, 11 hits, 1 HR, 5BB, 8K. Nunez recently faced texas and KC won 10-0. He pitched 6 scoreless innings with only 3 hits, no HR's, 1BB, and 7 SO's. On the other hand the rangers Rheinecker is 1-1 with a 7.11 ERA. His last three starts his ERA is 9.39 with a 1.957 WHIP giving up 16 runs, 23 hits, and 4 homers. The powerline has Nunez valued at -144 and Rheinecker at +144 and KC's line is only -105

    Easy Pick: KC -105

KC has a batting average and runs scored per game to match Nunez ERA and BAA. I wouldn't touch KC with a hundred foot pole. Texas has the lowest ERA in the major leagues last 7 games. This game is impossible to call.

He only has 3 starts this year. I wouldn't put much credence in his numbers in such a small sample of work. Not saying I disagree with the play, but I think the line is right on. The power line is an infinitely flawed system, one that doesn't take into account the human element in handicapping a particular game.

Good points and while I like your pick, I like the under better. I expect Rheinecker to pitch well tonight. if you look deeper then the ERA you will find that in his last two games he has 33outs. 29 of those outs came by the way of a strikeout or ground out, only 4 fly ball outs. His stuff is working. I am on the under in this one.
