    Mets sign ...

47 year old Julio Franco to a 2.2 million dollar contract

it wouldn't be that bad really. but, they signed the "47 year old" to a two year deal

i think the mets wanted to keep him away from the braves assuming there were no other takers

there was a reason there were no other takers though goldengoat. the man's 47 years old.

all i know is if i was a pro athlete, i'd want franco's agent myself

so does that mean you would have signed the "47 year old" to a 2 year contract ?

Sure does, the guy has been a clutch hitter his entire life.
