over under total players

I probably play 60%-40% totals to sides AC. For me, capping totals in baseball is easier for me and has value on most nights. You won't be getting the big underdog payouts with + money, but you also shouldn't lose with odds at more than -115 or -120. Whereas you could drop a -200 favorite tonight if the Yankees lose for example.

Factors for me: Home/Road splits for pitchers. Team's recent offensive #s and ballpark.

Lots of factors - pitcher's current form, lineups, ballpark, weather, bullpen and pitcher's career #'s against opponent, particular player(s) and in specific ballpark.

Probably 90% of the totals I play are unders, which I believe is about the opposite of EP.

True nuff! I have gotten to the point where I am more comfortable taking unders now, but it's usually with a pitcher who has won for me in the past. Dice-K being a prime example of a guy who I trust in unders for the most part.

I follow mostly the TREND.. Like today. I like Tampa / boston over 9.5
Tampa as a road underdog of +150 to +175 10-0 Over
on the road when the total is 9 to 9.5 16-4 Over
I looked at the team total for tampa it's at 4.5 and they have Boston as the heavy favorite -174.. If the trend is correct and tampa should score more than 4.5 then this tells me for Boston to beat Tampa they have to have more than 4.5 runs.Therefore the OVER looks really good.

I look at the starting lineup vs the opposing pitcher for both teams, focusing especially on the hitters in the 2-6 slots, the ones most likely to come to the plate in a clutch situation.

Then I look at the starting pitchers' last 5 starts.

Then I look at the hitters' streaks - both hot and cold.

Then I look at runs scored per game for each team last 7 games.

Then I look at the ERA of the relief pitchers since the all star break.

Then I lose my bet. LOL
