Busy MLB Friday for Me - 9 Plays (6 Dogs)
8 Plays are already in, and these are the lines I got them at:

    Athletics +125
    Marlins +139
Royals +102 (I guessed wrong and waited)
    Mariners +117
    Nationals +136

    Dodgers/Cardinals UNDER 8 -105
    Blue Jays/Royals UNDER 9 +100
    Twins/Angels UNDER 8 -110

1 Play I am still waiting on:

Devil Rays (+122 at last check)

I Also made 1 NFLX play so far (Patriots/Bucs UNDER 33 -102) and will add Falcons (waiting on 5 Dimes Alternate Lines - want +3 at decent +odds).

The Mariners? How do you bet on a game with 2 totally unknown starting pitchers? You can't handicap that game, what do you do, use the force?

Lawrence has been around for a long time and was a pretty solid pitcher during his time with SD. He missed all of '06 with a torn labrum I believe.

That's my point. He is an unknown because no one knows if he has recovered from his injury.

Some games you dont have to handicap with the pitchers even involved , there is a big thing called overthinking something . Lawrence is an old padre pitcher you probably never drafted if you played fant baseball so no advantage on paper with the mets starter . I like the 1st place Mets due for lil win streak to start with the best leadoff hitter in the game and its friday night in ny to equal big friday night crowd pleaser . I wish the Marlins were great....early in the season I thought they could be the who knew or diamond in the rough and maybe make some noise .......are 11.5 games behind their opposition tonight.......... You go play Doom mr . 20 grand on an over and under 10 . THE FACT YOU CAN THROW THE STATS PAPER OUT THE WINDOW WHEN THE GAME STARTS SHOULD TELL ME SOMETHING . YOU DONT KNOW WHAT DO YOU CURIOUS ?

Oak: disagree pretty significantly, Blanton should be vulnerable here tonight and Oak doesn't have the bats to keep up

Marlins: disagree, the Mets at home with a better pen should have a strong advantage in this one. The Marlins' bats are likely to suffer at Shea

Seattle: agree, although Washburn is always vulnerable. This series won't be as easy as the Baltimore series where the hot weather was a big boost to Seattle's bats.

Nats: agree, but I actually have some on the plus RL, this one could easily go into extra innings or down to the wire, the volatility is on the low side as I see it.

Cards under: agree, but I took 8.5, which I like a bit better.

Angels under: agree, but I think the value is small.

What I know : Friday night is not generally a lopsided fav night in mlb , is in fact a bs night to look for big fav day so from that standpoint you have okay chance with those 5 dogs but only one I like there is the Mariners . No feel for your o/u but weather wise in kc makes me leery of an under 9 but I understand the logic with 2 great pitchers goin in marcum and meche . Note :Worst night to play favs : thursdays.

FYI, I ended up playing Falcons on the MONEYLINE at +168 and I got +129 on Tampa Bay.

                                -------------------------------------------------------
                                curious,

Regarding Marlins, I got +139 on a game where the starting pitching matchup is a toss-up. Lawrence did not look good in his first start back and the Mets have stangely struggled with first-time strarters pretty consistently in recent years. I guess it's worth noting that Barone was 7-0 at AAA. Plus there is the letdwon factor after losing two of three at home in the biggest series so far this year vs. Atlanta.

My guess would have been that a pitcher does better if the hitters have never seen him before. I looked at this game and went "What?" LOL so, you are a better handicaper than me

Blown saves are like McNabb throwing a pass instead of running the ball and punting on mnf against dallas when Phil was up with no way of losing and silky smooth picked the pass off and ran it back for a td , phil lost . Beltran = McNabb. A team winning like that happens in mlb all the time but has to be summed up as bs . Nice calls though LT goin dogs and the unders . % Note : Sunday is the truest fav day of all because like the church a trueness seems to see through on that one day , am 100% fooo real .
