I think one of these two cashes tonight.
ATL +124 @ SF
Buddy Carlyle has silently been a key member of the Atlanta rotation lately. Positives for me are that ATL does have the better offense. ATL is 2-1 in his road starts this season. The big negative obviously is going against one of the hottest pitchers in Lincecum. This one has bullpens written all over it.
NYY @ KC +142
Yanks have been rolling in a major way and that includes previously embattled starter Kei Igawa who has pitched adequately in three straight. Positives though are that he rarely goes beyond 5 innings, so the bullpen will be in play. For KC, De La Rosa has been shit lately, but at home KC is 6-4 in his starts. Igawa is getting the big price due mainly to the NYY offense and not necessarily his pitching, so this price is intriguing.
So which one of the two would you take?
