    baseball trivial question
i don't think this can happens in the majors because they use new balls, but what if the hitter hit the ball and the baseball shatter into pieces. is that a foul? replay? or an out if a catcher catch a big part of the shattered ball.

ncaa division 3 teams use the same ball for a long time, so it can happen. just curious what the rule is.

i bet it happened before. just because i never seen it happen doesn't mean it never happened before, there are lots of college baseball games that are not televised.
