MJF I told you baseball capping is not luck it only seems that way to people who can't do it. Oh yea HG baseball capping is luck. There are so many small things that come into play you can not handicap for ex a bad call(s) by the umpire, A ball that travels for homerun distance but a foul ball by a few feet, a bad or 5 or 6 line drives hit directly to a fielder. Alot of sports gambling is luck and baseball is where you need the most of it.

Nope, it's always true. Unless it's a wager that will only have one outcome, there is always the risk you are going to lose. A pretty damn close to a sure thing is betting that I won't win the lottery. Although it's a pretty sure thing, there's still the chance, albeit a small one, that I will win it. And, despite the ATL/SF wager winning, that wasn't pretty damn close to a sure thing by any stretch of the imagination. The odds might have been off in your opinion, but it was nowhere near to being a sure thing.

Incidentally, if you were going to offer a no-juice and "fair" line on that game, what would the line have been?

What game are you talking about? The bases were actually never loaded the entire game, and in the first 5 innings the closest they ever came was in the top of the first when there were guys on first and second with one out, and then the bottom of the first when there was second and third with 2 out.

After the first inning though, there were no real threats at all through the fifth. There was never even a runner on third again until the bottom of the fifth when there was a guy on third with 2 out (not counting the 2-out single in the bottom of the third that scored the guy on second with the second run of the game).
