i took mets today -1 at -124. so if they win by 1, i get a push. anyone ever bet like that before? i guess if your sportsbook doesn't have -1 point spread, you can create it buy betting on ML and hedge it with RL.

What book offered that too you anyways? I knew Pinnacle offered this last year, but never wagered like that before. The value wasn't there betting games in that fashion IMO.

in soccer, there is the asian handicap, where you see bet like 50% on win 50% on draw ( pk and -0.5 -102 for example). i think pinnacle just make your life easier by offering asian handicap...because soccer odds are like -200 or +300...not a lot of even odds. since you can creating this wager by betting on draw and win, you can pretty much create any (1/4, 1/2. 3/4 handicap) type of asian handicap by making bets yourself. in that sense i think regular sportsbook is better than pinnacle soccer because you have more options to fiddle with the weights between draw and win. i think the reason pinnacle use asian handicap is that you get more voumn on close to even odds bets, so they create some crazy spreads, like china +8 goal in a hockey game against kazahstan...i never see more than 2 two goal spread in nhl, but i didn't know china has a hockey team in the first place.

I've never bet -1, can't get it at my book. But have bet a couple +1.5 for the dogs this year. The only thing about those is you are laying 1 to win .5 which makes the return doo doo. I'm 9-4 this year using the run line which is an investment of 1300 units for a profit of 50.
