I was about to bet the Pirates but that game really could go either way, so I decided to stay away from it. I've got LAA and the Braves tonight.

PIRATES - Gorzelanny is actually better than Oswalt right now, and if you look at their home/away splits, it's not even close! Gorzo at home: 4-2, 3.10 ERA, 1.15 WHIP. Oswalt away: 2-5, 6.48 ERA, 1.76 WHIP!

ROYALS - Great value at +160. Meche has been downright nasty at times this year, while Rogers is starting to come back to earth his last two starts. Plus Tigers were rather lucky in Twins series, so maybe gambling gods turn against them here.

PIRATES Yes..small play on them... I'm going w/Gorzo at home...Oswalt on the road and Hou just 16-33 on the road as well.


ATL Yes going with the Braves BIG time here. James has 7-8 home starts where he's allowed 3 runs or less...and the other was exactly 4 runs to Detroit.

I wouldn't bet a plug nickel on the Astros right now.

Tigers seem to be on a roll right now. I might be tempted to play them run line to bring some of the Kenny Rogers chalk down.
