What do you think of starting a series with the Cubs and/or Padres for this weekend? I'm cautious with the Padres because I just can't get a read on the Brewers. That being said, I'm cautious with the Cubs as it's tough to get a read on them, as well.

Yes it is still early in the season to read too much into the road ERA so far, but looking back at last season, Hochevar was 3-8 with an 8.14 ERA on the road in 66 innings pitched compared to a 5.17 ERA at home in 76 innings

The way Garza has been throwing, I don't see how Kansas City's bats putting up more than 2-3 runs.

TB's bats are too hot right now and I really don't see Hochevar and the bullpen holding TB below 5 runs

I know right. I only faded him on one of his picks on ATL, but if I faded him on all, I would be up big time. TA is a good capper, but sometimes you just got to know when a teams cold. Especially vs the Cards at home with their pitching staff and bats??? Should be a no brainer. I know the Bravos have been good in the past, but they're goin through a tough stretch right now, and until they get a W, I'm not betting on them anytime soon. Bobby Cox should rally the troops pretty soon, but as of right now they are really struggling.

The plays are there for us to play, fade, or do whatever we want with. He's not holding a gun to our head to play his plays, but sometimes a no play is the best thing to do when unsure about a struggling team.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I can't claim to be better at this than TA, but I don't think I'll be playing any game in which the Braves participate until I get a better read on them. They're a better team than this, but I don't know when they'll break out of their funk. I'm just staying away from them for a while.

TA are you using some sort of semi-chase on these? I notice it seems you slightly increase the plays on a given team with each loss in a series. ATL recently and I think you did a similar thing with HOU earlier in the year? Just curious thanks

why are so many people going big on houston? i understand oswalt owns the reds, but arroyo has won 4 starts in a row against the astros, 2 of them were complete games and in those 4 games he has a 1.69 era. i still like the astros, but not quite enough to put a lot of money on them... i might just go with the under

I like the Pads in tonights game. Davis is pretty good career wise against the Pads, but he has been awful to start 2010. So I would back SD for a small amount here.
