What value is there taking the Yankees at that price? They should be -240 to -260 tops your getting it at almost -400. The only reason the line was that high is because every in the world is on the Yankees just because of the belief they can't lose three in a row to the Mariners. I see that your positive and thats great but all it takes is a couple of hits at that price and your back to where you started. BOL in the future

I guess you're not familiar on how I do things, or you wouldn't make such a foolish question. I'll fill you in newbie, I use a system with checks and balances with weighted factors & filters to determine what team, type and amount of action should be put on the play list. Do you really think I give a that, as you put it, "every in the world is on the Yankees just because of the belief they can't lose three in a row to the Mariners" - the job is to select winners. Last month I rattled out a win rate of 60.83% from 120 wagers all in this thread with 1 push and earned 67.98 units. If or when you're cable of doing that well or better, then get back with me. it has been a whacky few days. from what i noticed, the majority of june saw a lot of favorites covering. if you just blindly just went favorites i think you would be doing alright, now the tables are turning and dogs are starting to bite.

This is true, but what stats do you have to back this up? i've seen teams with horrible injuries that are struggling (boston, philly). that doesn't mean that the underdogs are all of a sudden really good. just take it all with a grain of salt.

im a newbie to the forum so what i say maybe redundant or pointing out the obvious to some. i dont have that particular statistic on hand, but i did come across an article (stat included) that broke it down and quite positive its somewhere out there still. i agree with you on the injuries and that just goes along with my analysis that these lines are set to sway more of the mass majority to go a certain way and the public more often then not prefer to side with the favorite and brand name teams like boston, philly, or even brand name pitchers. for example, the cubs (big public team) were favorites today silva on paper has a good record going up against a no name minor leaguer. woods was the 2009 minor league pitcher of the year, reds bats are performing, and cubs not so much. from our side (people that follow games/teams frequently) see it as a trap too good to be true. "reds as a dog?" but public sees it as cheap price for silva vs a no namer. not saying dogs will hit everyday just saying that dogs will take their turn. maybe thats why people say "this line has value" when referring to a dog. (just occurred to me) not saying the dogs are good, but the situation favors the dog thus having value

It runs in cycles but it will end up splitting them all evenly or close to it when the season is done.

BOS and PHI are still better than the majority of other teams but currently the amount of room for mistakes is diminished.

I know that TA already answered this, but you do realize that the Yanks won this right? I'm speakinng more to just this play but for you to critique TA's method just isn't smart, look at the guys record for christ sake!!!!

Specifically for this game I played it blind before TA posted it, with little capping, mostly a pure gut play, part of it with the belief that the Yanks would not lose 3 in a row at home to the Mariners when the 3rd game of the series has the Yanks ace against a scrub. TA obviously takes it much further then this with his analysis but there are some good reasons right there to be betting, although I did play the -1.5 so the juice wasn't as high.

I never understand being just pure scared of high juice, I know you'll lose money playing it all the time but if you pick and choose your spots and you win most of the time then you're winning money.

Just my .02 and worth every penny.
