Astros +159 - Year-to-date home/away splits actually favor Jennings over Big Z. Cubs have been awful as favorites in this price range.

White Sox +124 - Yes Bedard is hot, but Buehrle has been lights out too, and this is nice value for a pitcher of his calliber.

Texas +190 - Throw out Millwood's early season numbers when he was pitching hurt, he now has four straight Quality Starts and should be a good bet the rest of the year.

Dodgers are decent value at +121 (IMO)

Dodgers offense is better than San Fran (IMO) +I think Cain is overated.

As far the original question is concerned, I think Millwood really jumped out at me. I didn't look at lines until early this afternoon but that seems like a pretty generous number even though Escobar has been consistently good all year. Rangers have been playing well so, with the generous price, I think they are worth a shot.

The other thing about the Rangers is: considering all the horrendous starting pitching problems they had in the 1st half, their bullpen is really good considering the incredible workload they've had. I'm surprised at how well they have held up. A solid 6 inning start by Millwood can keep the Rangers in the conversation. Good luck.

Yeah there are a lot of underdogs that look like they do or could have value.

Without getting into it too much right now, the ones I like are:

                      Toronto
                      St. Louis
                      Dodgers

One that a lot of people are liking, Cincinnati, I particularly don't like, I like the Mets in that one. Cincinnati is probably going to have trouble scoring runs in this one, I think the Mets have value actually, although it will probably be close.

Texas is a tough one, I do think they have a little value, but only a little, and perhaps less than people who are high on Millwood might think. But Texas' bullpen should help in this series, so I do like Texas, a little in this one. But not as much as I like the under which I took at 9.

Pittsburgh I also think has value, and maybe a bit more with the 5-inning line, but I think Pittsburgh has a little on the full game line as well.
