His ERA on the year is 94.50. So that means if he pitches a complete game, and pitches just as well as he has pitched all year, you would expect him to give up about 94 or 95 runs. That is pretty bad.

No, ok, well my take on the game is, no he is not that bad, but on the other hand, the line is also not that big on the Mets' side. Guys like these, they do often have decent starts, especially when they first come back. They have usually worked on things, they are giving it their all every instant trying to prove themselves, etc etc. So if the Mets were huge favorites in this one, I'd like Philly.

But the Mets aren't huge favorites. And Philly has a none-too-impressive pen. Hernandez, he has not fared well at this stadium, and Philly has already seen him once this year, which all goes against him. But he is still a capable starter, with a deep and quality pen behind him, while Durbin is still who he is, with an unimpressive pen behind him.

At this line, I like the Mets, part on the RL, part on the ML, and with a bit on the over. If Hernandez gets hits, the game will likely go over, and you'll hedge a loss with the Mets. If Hernandez doesn't get hit, or gives up only a few, the over is still a solid possibility.

Not too often a pitcher gives up 6 ER in 4 innings and his ERA goes down 69.50.
