It's a bullsh¡t ruling, making Lee sit for five full games while Young just gets a start pushed back a day. Hell, Young can probably appeal and get it reduced to four games and then not even skip a beat. Not to mention Peavy should miss at least one start as well for the comments he made. Right now the rule is a pitcher can say they're going to throw at someone on purpose, another pitcher can carry it out, both without any penalty while the batter that gets nailed, who wasn't even the person the other pitchers were upset at to begin with, has to sit five games for being pissed off.Comment -

yeah okay Willie....what the **** did Young do? Lee went over there and attacked him. If anything, Lee is getting off easy. He went after him for no reason and it was clear that Young did not throw at him. Even the Cubs radio announcers were saying the same exact thing. It's D. Lee's fault he is not very sharp.Comment -

hitter get hit all the time. if you ever watched ncaa bb, you get at least 2 beaners a game. i think it is part of the pitcher's strategy to pitch inside, but sometimes pitcher didn't throw it right and hit ther hitter. usually the hitter will back away. i doubt c young was intentionally throwing the ball at lee. young probably was trying to pitch inside and he didn't throw it right.Originally posted by bigboydanComment -
a starts pitches about 100 pitches around 90mph every 4-5 days...it is pretty hard to pitch every single pitch to the exact spot that the pitcher intended to pitch.Comment
