I had WAS as one to look at more closely. If I remember right this pitcher was the one who beat Santana in Minny. Have to look at the others more closely.

I like the Giants +175 and Tigers +100 out of your leans.

On the other hand, a few RL's I like against a few of your leans:

Blue Jays RL +110 and Athletics RL +125

Be careful with the Pirates, their starter they called up has had both shoulders rebuilt. I posted a thread about him here: John Van Benschoten

There is a lot there but I'll try to add a few insights.

I like SF +177 myself but am weary b/c the Giants never seem to win any of Cain's starts. That is a big concern regardless of how well he pitches. The Giants are an old team and have clearly established themselves as the worst team in the N.L. West. I would consider SF at +185 or higher. The Red Sox's no matter how poorly they are playing....are always overpriced and no exception in this game. Cain is by far the better of the two pitchers and he deserves serious consideration in this game.

Pitt +121...i think you have to seriously consider Pitt more as a fade on CWS than anything else. CWS is just horrible right now and can't be trusted. Burehele could pitch a great game and they still could lose. Their offense rivals that of a Triple AAA team and their bullpen is pathetic. However, there is just too much uncertainty with the Pitt starter. This game may get steamed making Pitt an attractive dog at say +135 >

ATL -104.....typically yes but with Smoltz's injury you have to wonder what type of condition he is in. He says he is fine but I am not so sure as some reports I have from some sources suggest otherwise. Byrd tends to get a lot of run support at home and I would lean toward CLEV personally here if I had to pick since they are such a dominant home team.

DET -102 i would lean too. DET hits soft tossing lefties very hard and Jamie Moyer won't be throwing the ball past anyone except maybe Craig Monroe. That being the case, Andrew Miller is young...so young that Moyer was pitching before he was even before....but he is talented and throws real hard. Phil struggles with left-handed pitching but I am wondering how Miller pitches with some adversity as surely PHIL will be able to get to him at some point. This also means DET's bullpen will be called in and they are horrible. Phil has been playing well also and that can't be dismissed. Slight lean toward DET though...they are the better team and feature the starter more likely to have a better game.

BAL +119...i'll have to hold comment on this b/c there is a pitching change I understand. However, hold your breath and hope the BAL starter pitches 9 innings b/c their bullpen is in complete disarray right now. Not a team I would consider backing these days. Perlazzo will be fired shortly and they may become more attractive as a team to back once that happens.

Wash +180....not really. Attractive price for the best money making team in MLB but S. Marcum has been very solid. I won't lay it with TOR but I am not going to back a team that is almost 10 games under .500, playing on the road, with a pitcher with an ERA 10.00 + against a hot pitcher. The one thing though if you do back WASH is that TOR has been very inconsistent all season. Thus they looked good today, so if the script holds they should implode tomorrow.

STL +160....yes, but hold your breath. I'll likely take a good hard look at them but Wellemeyer does not inspire much confidence. DiNardo has strung together two straight solid outings and I will hope that he regresses back to the mean but STL just is not a good team but do you really want to lay -170 with lenny Dinardo and an A's team that plays to the level of their competition especially at home? Good job by the linesmaker on this one I would say...price too high on Dinardo, price too low on Welleymer. May be more value on STL if this one goes +170/175 >

FLA +110......maybe but unlikely. I don't trust De LaRosa but he has pitched well at times and I have more confidence in him than Vanden Hurk. FLA is a major underachieving team this year and KC, while not very good, plays hard every night. Buddy Bell has done a solid job getting this team to compete. Vanden Hurk did have a solid start in his only road effort this season so that is encouraging if you want to back FLA in this one while De La Rosa has struggled at home for the most part. KC's lineup is more dominant than FLA's by a mile too....

Sea -116....no opinion. Baek has been solid at times and Williams not so much so but I'd lean slightly toward Houston as of now as the home dog.

TB +117....I'll consider them but COL has been playing fabulous as of late. COL is very much under the radar right now and was one of only 2 teams to have a winning record against the AL last year. TB is a putrid road team but I like the kid going for them but I also like John Hirsch as well. Hard to say here...slight lean as of now with TB hoping that they outslug COL but that's all. TB bullpen is pathetic so you have to hope for a strong outing from TB starter.

Right now, I think SD +103 has some value b/c Young is a very solid road pitcher and Zambrano is not to be trusted as a favorite. However, you usually find Zambrano at home -150> But he appears focused more than ever right now so maybe we are seeing the new Big Z. Even so, the SD offense is minor league quality at best but if they can take the lead I have a hard time seeing the Cubs coming back. They have some key injuries in their lineup though. If I can get SD near +110 I'd play it.

            Good luck...
