DOG Days of Summer - 6/14
1-2 yesterday to break a string of profitable days. I hate Thursday's card...

    Considering:

    Atlanta +170

That's it unless the public hammers Detroit and Milwaukee becomes an underdog...

As always, this thread and its discussion is DOGS ONLY!

I actually was liking Santana and the Twins in that game Senator, but I can't lay that type of wood at all.

Yeah...I don't like betting against Santana either but Hudson has pitched better than his numbers show and the Braves are hitting lefties better than their W/L record against them would show.

Just considering it right now. I'm hoping Milwaukee is a decent dog by lunch tomorrow...

Only dog on the board I like for today is the Reds +119.

        Good luck S7.

          Mariners +140

As I posted in Sonny's POD thread:

Yes, Jeff Weaver sucks the Big Kahuna, but what little success he has had in recent years has come in the National League. So, it may not be just a coincidence that he is coming off of his best outing of the year (albeit a short one) in his first interleague start. Besides, Marquis has looked very, well, Weaver-like lately (2.33 WHIP last 3 starts), and if this becomes a battle of the bullpens, the M's would hold an enormous edge.

0-2 on weds. and both were ugly

            2 for today (short comments)

KC at home +103..I'll take the home dog against Wells. Elarton is not much better, but I like KC here

Colorado +200 Yeah I know Beckett is 9-0, but Francis is a good pitcher also. Just hoping the Rockies bats hit again like last night

            Best of luck to all!!

I think I might pass trying to find any worth dogs today and just play some situations I like. There really is no great value on a dog today.

A real ugly 0-4 yesterday for me. Got 4 today (I'm posting one a little late):

Cincy +114.....I'm convinced something is wrong with Colon. Took the plus price on a fresh arm in Bailey. 1 unit.

Detroit -102.....Love Det as an underdog at home. Sheets has been good lately but I'll take the better lineup. Durbin has been stable lately so hopefully we'll get a good outing today out of him. Big banger. 5 units.

Texas +155.....this play somewhat reminds me of the last Baltimore road trip debacle. I gotta be somewhat insane to keep playing these turkeys. I'm betting that Texas comes out of its shell tonight with the bats. They have scored 6 runs in 2 games vs the Pirates. They have a tough assignment tonight with Gorzelanny but I'll take the price and gamble that those bats wake up tonight. 1 unit.

Kansas City +105.....I have made the comment before that I don't like Elarton but going against Kip Wells neutralizes that dislike. I think KC wants to win this series. STL got a stellar performance out of Wainwright to win last night but I think this one goes to the Royals. Betting sheer will with the Royals versus a disinterested Cards team in my opinion. Big banger. 5 units.

Good luck, S7. I had to do a double take when I saw the Twins-Braves line. Getting Hudson at that plus number is awfully tempting. I'll pass but I'd have to take the Braves if I was playing the game. Good luck.

                      That inning was absolutely brutal.

I'm with you on that. Nothing of interest today for me.

I took the Mariners at the last minute at +132. Their bullpen is about to F the game up. Stop me if you've heard that story before about a team this season.

Can't believe the Cubs came back. Usually it's the M's with the strong bullpen and the Cubs with the bullpen that blows leads.
