Indians +945

I feel the Cleveland Indians +945 just might be worth a shot to win the World Series this year. This team seems to have all the tools, and a management team that will go out and trade for some talent if need by during the stretch drive.

What do you guys think?

Their bullpen worries me, but at +945 I think there's some value. I think they will run away with the Central. If they can add Gagne and/or Otsuka from the Rangers to strengthen the pen, it would greatly enhance their chances.

My original WS pick was the Cleveland Indians and the Philadelphia Phillies.


In general, this is a pretty solid team. I think they are gonna get into the playoffs one way or another. I would agree with rjt though in that they need some bullpen help. Everyday lineup is pretty solid. They probably need a #3 starting pitcher as well. Byrd might be able to get them through but that would make me a little nervous in a 7 game playoff series. Sabathia and Carmona are very good.

If I were a Cleveland exec, I'd be looking for (1) SP and (1) RP for the stretch drive. Gagne would be a helluva fit in Cleveland.
