No, I actually believe the contrary. Morris is the best pitcher on the san francisco team. He is going up against Josh Towers.

ya, im going to have to side with SF here. Thats where my money is going today. I actually have a buddy who plays pro ball and works out with Josh Towers in the off season here in Vegas and he says Towers is a pretty lazy guy, and he was the worst pitcher in the league last year, so my money is definitely going to go against him, especially against San Frans best starter.

I'm not sold on Morris at all. He's had a couple nice starts, but he's still an average pitcher. Cain and Lincecum are much better than Morris.
But, Towers is horrible. There's really no getting around it. Still, SF cannot score runs right now, and the AL is dominating the NL. If I was going to make a play today, it would be on Toronto plus the nice price.

I would lean towards the OVER here. Morris has been real good lately and will probably settle down to a worse form eventually. Toronto scored some runs yesterday and no one has a lot of confidence in Towers.
I have not made any bets today but, if I were, OVER in TOR/SF might be tempting especially at even money or better.

A couple nice starts? He's been as solid as it gets. I do agree totally Razz on the Giants not scoring runs though - that makes playing him tough. I always play him as a dog though. Tonight, meh ... not sure.

EP, I know you love the guy, but his ERA the last four years is still over 4.50. He's past his prime, and except for two or three years was never an elite pitcher anyway. And he's given up 8 unearned runs this year. That's one of the problems with ERA, and why WHIP is so relevant (Morris's is very average). He's also struck out 41 and walked 28 in 12 starts. That's pathetic.
Looking at his career numbers, April (3.38 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, .254 BAA) and May (3.09 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, .240 BAA) are by far his best months. His numbers will soon go on a severe decline, IMO.

Good points on his future, although until he drops off - I will play him routinely as a dog. I won't play that one tonight unless the line drops drastically. I usually draw the line at about -135 for a home fave and it has to be a GREAT match-up for me to lay that #. Jays have been pretty decent offensively lately as well.

Toronto +133 for 0.75 units
Toronto -1.5 +210 for 0.25 units.

I'm only making one play today, and it's the Giants. My gut reaction was to play Toronto too when I first saw the line, but upon further inspection I just think Towers is too bad to be only this short of a dog. Call it 7-2 San Fran tonight...

I think it looks to easy to take sf with morris on the mound against towers.
sf been slumping and I doubt toronto will leave towers in to long if he starts getting smacked
also the fact that sf 5-1 vs them all should be all over SF
I guess for those who back toronto you would be looking for a game like he had vs philly when SF lost 13-0

I like the over 8.5 at plus money. 15 mph wind blowing out to center, and even though the Giants offense is struggling lately, they haven't faced a pitcher as poor as Towers during that span. Towers is also making his first start in about one month, and will be on a pitch count. Matt Morris has been great, but he's not as good as his numbers would indicate, and I think the Jays are more than capable of getting to him tonight.

Alright mofos. Daddy needs an over in this one of 8.5 at even odds. I went large. Why? Because danger is my middle name.

Game over. Giants can't score 4 runs, even against that piece of shit Towers.

Congrats to those on Toronto. If there is a team less poised to make a multi-run comeback it's the Giants, and Morris just looks a fish out of water out there. That over looks real good right now too....

Early early early. I bet on some game a couple weeks ago where there were 5 runs up in the 1st inning. There were 6 total in the game. I just want the offenses to put the throttle down!

The most annoying thing is being on espn.com and having that pop-up appear notifying you that Bonds is on-deck. You'd think ESPN would realize at this point that no one cares about Bonds and the HR record.

I could see that over not coming a mile away after the 1st inning. Craptacular!
