The Cubs May Be The Worst Favorites in Baseball
You would be hard-pressed to find a worse favorite in baseball this season than the Chicago Cubs.

The Cubs have a losing 18-21 record in this favorite role for -12.66 units. Almost unbelievably, as if that is not bad enough, the Cubs are 0-8 when favored in the -150 to -200 range, as they are tonight!

I think OVER 8.5 in this one is the right side. This line opened at 8 and was bet up earlier this morning. I still think it is light. I have the total @ 10. Zambrano is too volatile right now and Woody has been consistently bad. As long as the wind isn't blowing in, I think OVER is a solid play today. Haven't played it yet but will do so soon.

Thanks AC for the heads-up. As you probably guessed, I do not look at this type of data when I make bets like this. Maybe I should.

looking at their whips and eras over should be a cinch but that is what usually gets me.

What scares me about Houston tonight is the fact that Woody Williams just flat out sucks! What even makes matters worse though is the fact that he's like 3-8 lifetime against the Cubs.

On the flip side Dan, one of Woody's best games this year came here in Wrigley, two runs in six innings.

You guys are officially screwed now. I took HOU at +178. I'm also on the over at 8.5.

Looking like the Cubs were the right side in this game after all guys. The Astros woes continue once again tonight, and Woody has actually pitched pretty good too. Go figure uh.

Hope springs eternal. Zambrano is near 100 pitches. The bullpens will still have a say in this one. The over is F'ed, but HOU might still have a chance if they hold it down to just two runs.

Normally I would agree with you Mr.Eagles. The problem I have with the Astros tonight is they can't hit nothing at all.

I can't believe Zambrano is still in. There's still hope for the 9th. Meat of the order vs. Dumpster.

I can't believe Zambrano actually beat us. His home run did us in

Outhitting the M's 10-2 and still losing.

How about scoring a ****ing run!

Not a whole lot surprises me in baseball, but this truly did.
