Let's all give the Red Sox a big round of applause!
They finally broke through against Oakland after only 17 scoreless innings in a row! Great job guys! To be fair, Lenny Dinardo and Joe Kennedy are shoo-in Hall of Famers, and the A's pen - even without their closer and primary setup man - is the best in the history of baseball.

I can't say it would surprise me if they came back and won that now that they got over there scoring drought.

Yep. Always a warm feeling to have a 1-run lead and see a pitcher with a 12.86 ERA enter the game for my team.

You weren't the only one who thought that, glad we were wrong though. Still have to have Embree or someone else throw a scoreless inning.

Coco can't hit worth a shit, but he's played a Gold Glove caliber CF this year. Unfortunately, with Hunter and Wells in the AL, he'll never win.

You're about that, I'm about the A's pitcher throwing Nancy 4 straight balls after getting up 0-2.

Just came home....saw the score in the A's game and am very happy they won after the state of Ohio debacle with CINC and CLEV. Finished with a winning day on my b-day though. Off to watch a movie fellows. Take care...

I'm taking Oakland again tomorrow. They continue to get no respect for whatever reason, and Blanton is at this point at least as good as Schilling. All the numbers point to them, and with Boston in a funk especially offensively, there is no way Oakland should be anywhere near +130 tomorrow.

                              Blanton's home ERA is 2.04, 0.78 WHIP, .174 BAA.
                              Schilling 4.40/1.43/.298 on the road.
Blanton 2-0 career against Boston with a 3.10 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, .230 BAA. (all starts at Fenway)
                              Schilling's 3-3 against Oakland with a 3.61/1.34/.286, including 1-1 with a 6.43/1.50/.293 at McAfee.
