    Run Line
I know a few of you really like the dogs. Has anybody looked at the benefits of taking the favorites and playing the run line instead and getting +money. I wonder if that pays out as well as rolling the dice with dogs?

Once in a while I will take some RL's at plus money, if I like the favorite enough.

RLs are tough because even if you get that dominant start from the stud pitcher you liked ... most bullpens in the league always give the other team a chance to F ya!

        That's a good question, macdad.

I've generally come to the conclusion like most on this forum. Favorites are only worth playing @ -130 or less. That is not to say that I have not stepped out and played some big favorites even this year (Oswalt @ home versus Milwaukee comes to mind which, by the way, was a loser).

It probably is the better way to go. I can't say definitively that it is. I'd say it is probably better to go -1.5 home favorites rather than road favorites (that is just based on my gut and not on facts). My experience with road favorites hasn't been very good. I have always wanted to try the opposite of what you are proposing and use the ALT Run Line on underdogs and see what that would yield.
