Or is it a done deal that he leads the league in home runs?

Yankees will be out of the playoff hunt, and AROD will excel.

So I say it is a done deal that he will lead the league in homers.

there was a prop on 5dimes a while ago on will a-rod hit more homers than number of yankees' losses

i was gonna take yankees will have more losses than a-rod home run total for the season. seem like a good bet now.

I'm sure those odds have dropped recently. If not now, it will soon, if the Yankees keep dropping series after series.

no point taking it now...the odds are probably really bad. the only reason i didn't take it was because i didn't want my money to be tied up for the entire season.

A-Rod excels with no pressure on himand now Yanks are out of it so he will have a great year. His best years are when his teams are done. He is one of the most overrated players ever.

I agree, I'm pulling for Prince Fielder to catch him. Prince has the protection around him in the lineup and he plays in the right stadium to do it.

If he stays healthy all year, I think Adam Dunn will hit more than anyone this year. I can see ARod having a stretch of slumping in the middle of the year. Dunn is like a lefty Dave Kingman (blast from the past) and he plays in the right park. I think he's going to sneak up on the bigger names and hit in the upper 50s or even 60 one of these years.

Dunn has a .246 career avg and strikes out too much for my taste...he's on pace to k about 220 times this year.

You're right, he plays in the right park and has the power to do it though.

I think the chances for a protracted slump are in the favor of Dunn, and I don't see someone from the National League leading at the end of the year.

Well I wouldn't be surprised if Fielder ends up in the mid-to-upper 40's, so it is not a foregone concluion that no National Leager could pass A-Rod.

When are the real contenders going to get in the groove? A Jones, Hafner, Giambi, M Holliday, and Texieria. When????

                              Fielder has already caught ARod.

He got most of his HRs in the first 3 weeks of the season, his record since then isn't anything to shout about.

ARod is tied at 19. So much for the hot April.
