    5/29 Tues Plays
After the runline screwing me with the detroit game, I am going past today's loss. At least I won the baltimore game.

Anyway, for tomorrow, im really liking wells +128 vs. Gorzelanny. Gorzelanny may be a good pitcher, but the San Diego offense is one of the best in the majors. Not to mention that Pittsburgh's offense is horrendous.

I also like Danks +110 over Bonser.

I am considering Micah Owings +128 vs. Lieber.

    What do you guys think?

I wouldn't trust Wells on the road. He's garbage away from pitcher-friendly Petco. Check out his road splits this year: 1-2, 8.84 ERA, 18.1 IP, 31 H, .388 Opp. Avg. I also have a significantly lower opinion of SD's offense than you do. I don't think their lineup is anywhere near being one of the best in the league. There is really only one consistent threat in that lineup (Gonzalez). In fact, I think would rank them closer to the bottom of the league than the top. I would stay away from the Padres tomorrow.

My early leans are Atlanta +103, Cardinals -105 and the Giants +135.

Why are you going by splits when he has only pitched 18 innings. That is not enough time to be considered a worthy statistic. Besides, if you look at his game log, he faced the dodgers and the braves in 2 of his 4 road starts this year. Those teams are much better than the pirates.

I was actually liking the Pirates on Tuesday. I just can not lay the -135/-140 with them. So I will pass altogether.

RJT, I was leaning toward the Braves myself. If I could find plus money out here, I will probably bet it.

The fact that he's been hit hard in each of his 4 road starts means nothing?

My point was that Wells' overall numbers are greatly swayed by having roughly half of his starts at Petco, by far the premier pitching ballpark in baseball. His overall numbers may look adequate, but take him away from Petco, and he is a huge liability. At this point in their careers, Gorzelanny is the far superior pitcher.

I'm not playing this game, as I can't lay that much chalk with the Pirates, but I do feel Pittsburgh is the right side.

SD offense is weak, not strong. Staying away from this one.

San Diego has one of the worst offenses in the majors.... Pitt's offense is statistically better.

I am so relieved that I ended up going ith Owings +135. I had my doubts, but it was too hard to resist at that value. 5-0 lead in the 2nd. This is good.
