I'm all over PIT in the early game. Great value for Gorzelanny.

I like the Royals myself. Lean toward the other sides in the first two games; no opinion on Padres/Cubs. Marquis' season thus far has been extremely perplexing to me.

There's a little value with Gorzelanny at that price, but as BBD noted in another thread, the Cards might finally be starting to get it together. Looper is certainly just as capable of throwing a good game as Gorzelanny, and that Pittsburgh offense is almost nonexistent. If the number rises, I might make the Pirates a play. As is, I will pass on a side in this one. I do, however, like the under in this game.
I like the O's tomorrow....Guthrie has been outstanding in his 4 starts.

i like kc. pitt under. baltimore under. angels over. as much as i want to bet chicago and diego, its too much of a toss up. would also like to take pitt, but im done betting on them.
These games are a bit tricky, and I might change my opinion later on, especially if there are any lineup surprises.
But in general, I am leaning towards the home favorites in your games as opposed to the road underdogs, which you are leaning towards. I think they will all be close, but I think the home teams will have value at these relatively short favorites lines.
Gorzelanny is very good of course, and Stl has some guys who get neutralized a bit vs quality lefties. But Looper is good too, and Pitt is just not really hitting or winning now. I think Stl should be a bit of a bigger favorite than they are.
The the Arizona is similar, and I think Owings will have a good outing here. He is a solid starter and I think he'll bounce back vs the mediocre Houston lineup. But this is also a game I think the home team has only a small edge on.
And the same in the SD game. The Cubs are just not a winning team. They have an iffy pen, while SD's is solid, and their offense always seems to be less than the sum of its parts. Going against a solid starter like Young, I think the Cubs will be at a disadvantage.
I agree with KC though, I think they have a little value as that line.

I think the Pitt/ STL game is a coin flip.
As for the Houston game I would take into consideration that Wandy Rodriguez has exactly one win in his previous 19 starts and a 0-2, 6.75 ERA for road stats.
I don't especially like putting money on KC, but if you're going to do it today would be the day. Sowers has been absolutely horrid.
I have a preference for The Padres as they are the home team. This is a close call though.
Good luck today!

I knew Pittsburgh's offense was bad, but I didn't think it was terrible.
What a joke...
I just hope Kansas City can win and make me a small profit today...

I don't think it's quite terrible, and I wouldn't at all be surprised if in the dog days of summer it starts to come around and you see more Pitt overs and wins. Right now, they can be decent vs sub-par starters, but against quality starters on the road, they do seem to just wilt, kind of a poor man's Cubs, if you can imagine that.
The Cincinnati series might be a different story though (see the current Washington/Cincy series).

Stick a fork in Kansas City after that 5 run first inning.
I was counting on Cleveland not scoring that many runs the whole game...

If KC gets it within 2 or 3 by the 7th inning, think they still got a decent shot with CLE's bullpen.

Hell yeah they did.
They've been a cash cow for me so far this season though...
