    Interesting move by Larussa tonight
Garry Bennett will be catching tonight for the Cardinals. This is the first time this year that he has caught Wells which I feel could be a very valuable piece of info.

    C. Duncan lf 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .296
    A. Pujols 1b 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .270
    J. Encarnacion rf 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .280
    S. Rolen 3b 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .220
    J. Edmonds cf 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .220
    G. Bennett c 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .250
    A. Kennedy 2b 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .239
    K. Wells p 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .267
    Heres the Pirates lineup:

    C. Duffy cf 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .220

Wells will still give them up. Its hard for me to back that guy no matter who is catching him.

I liked Pitt tonight myself, but backed off this game once I heard this info. IMO, I feel the Cardinals are geared up to make there run right now.

I'm not convinced they're capable of making a run...

I hear ya Senator. However, you can start to see signs of life as well as smart managerial moves by Larussa in these past couple of games.

I'll give you that, BBD. They just don't have the pitching after losing Suppan to The Crew and then Carpenter to injury...

The management has made it quite clear that they will go after some top pitching if there in contention. Not to mention that Mulder should be back sometime in June. Now weather or not he will be a top notch pitcher people have grown accustom too a year years ago is entirely another question.

Looks like Edmunds is starting to heat up right now. 2 homeruns in the past 2 days.

That's one sorry lineup in Pittsburgh. Not a good sign when your cleanup hitter is batting under 200.

It's the guy who was in a coma since opening day.

3 mistakes by Snell, 4 runs for the Cards.
