I am trying to get away from favorites and find positive odd teams that I think have value, laying the odds has been not treating me well so I need to find another angle.

although I do like the indians and astros today probably won't play them

Explain to me why the braves are going to beat the red sox? I am a yankees fan and even I can admit that the red sox have been on fire as of late. Hansack has only pitched .2 innings. That is nothing to base a prediction on. Lerew isn't a very good pitcher and will probably get owned by the red sox offense.

Also, simontacchi isn't that great. He got lucky against the Braves. You have to remember that the AL has dominated interleague play in the past and will probably dominate this year. Trachsel is a former ace who will sometimes have flashbacks to his former greatness. I could easily see the Orioles doing well. Personally, I would stay away from these two.

The angels, however, are the best team around and will have no problem matching up against brad penny given santana pitches another great game.

I've seen Lerew pitch twice, and I think he is going to be pretty good. In his first start, he had really good control, but last time out, he couldn't get the ball down in the zone at all. If his control is there, he can hold the Red Sox down, but if not ... I don't know anything about Hansack, but with the Braves having the better bullpen and almost equal lineup, I'm tempted at the price.

I've been going the way you are AC - trying more to find value picks at +odds rather than over paying for a fave to get burned. Angels I still like and leaning to the Mets as well.
