I was wondering why the Cubs line moved so far so fast.

        I got the Cubbies @ +120 today.

That is a chintzy lineup, but I think I like the under more than the Cubs. Jason Vargas, he's a real puzzle, he's been quite effective at times in the majors, but has also obviously had mostly bad outings. But Guzman is ok, and he's pitching for a sopt in the rotation. Even if Vargas gets hit, say 5 runs in 5 innings, the Mets pen will probably be able to take care of things. These guys are probably tired from last night's late start. That, combined with a highish total, combined with the Mets lineup, I think gives the under value.

I'm not sure the Cubs have value right now, although I think they definitely do at their former line around +120.

I feel for the Cubs bettors right now. Seems like big 9th inning comebacks are all the rage

Exactly. That's what I keep telling everyone. If there were a G-d, there would be only come-from-behind victories, and no winning team collapses.

                    QED.

Anyway, this was a tough one, but hey, it happens.

Still.....the game I had CLEV +146 and they were up 6-2 in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs against NYY and NYY was down to their last strike and won the game by 2 still is a worse beat that this will be. I mean the Mets had an out to spare.....

I appreciate your sympathy, BB. At least, I think I do.

How bad is Ryan Dempster? He looked scared up there on the mound... Pinella left him on the mound way too long. You see you have a pitcher that is struggling and you leave him in to face seven batters. Then Pinella brings in Eyre who has an 8.10 ERA to face the Mets best hitters. How mad is Guzman right about now? I always wonder about clubhouse dynamics after a loss like this one...

Interesting...I was wondering this same thing after Turnbow blew those two games.
