    BONDSWATCH - 8th May 2007
I make that one home run in less than every 7 at bats.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Barry Bonds treated fans to his third home run of the homestand and the 745th home run of his career in the fourth inning of Tuesday's game against the Mets.

Bonds whacked a solo shot that towered over center field off the first pitch Tom Glavine served him. It was Bonds' third consecutive first-pitch homer and his fourth of the season. It's been 10 years since Glavine has given up a home run to Bonds, but Wednesday was the fourth allowed to the Giants slugger in his career.

Bonds is now almost within single digits of tying Hank Aaron's record, which is 10 away.

Coming into the game, only three days existed in the regular season that Bonds had not homered. May 8 is no longer one of them. The only days Bonds has not hit home runs are August 5 and September 30.

Bonds' last home run was on Saturday afternoon in the Giants' 9-4 win over the Phillies.
