    clemens coming to yankee
Yah knew it would happen. With yankees pitching so pathetic they will pay clemens a mint to come and pitch with them.

Exactly Buddy. If it was truly about winning, as Clemens said all along, he would have chosen the Red Sox, who have a much better team. Clemens just wants to be looked upon as the savior if/when the Yankess turn around their season.

Didn't you see this coming though.

You knew the boss was gonna sign Clemens, because of all the injuries. I'm just wondering how much it's gonna cost him for a 1/2 season.

I love New York/Boston fans. If he comes to my team its ok, but if he goes to the "other" team then its all about himself.

Maybe he feels the Yankees are better suited to win a title if the pitching gets into place. Yanks definately have a better offense than Boston as the last series in Boston showed us, they were only outscored 21-17 with your top 3 starters, Schilling-Beckett-Matsuzaka.

When you are as dominant as Roger, you can do this type of thing. While some may not agree, who doesn't envy him? Roger knows his demand has been rising since the injury problems with this pitching staff.

I am neither a Red Sox fan nor a Yankee fan. It would just be nice if for once we could get an unbiased baseball thread.

Really? I don't think so. It's hardly like the Favre pantomime when he was scheduling press conferences to say he hadn't made his decision on who to play for. The only media discussion about this that I have seen has come from the media rather than Clemens himself. And in any case, he's probably one of the only pitchers in the game who can pick and choose who he plays for to this extent.

Although he's one of the best pitchers in the game and a pitcher than any team would want, as long as money isn't an issue, I can see him only managing an average of 6 innings per game which is going to expose the bullpen - and that's never a good idea for the Yankees.

Despite all that, I'd love him to get on the DL in his first game.
