    This is what I use when wagering on Baseball Totals.

    I combine both teams playing and get my total (over/under)

          weird to see TOR third worst in scoring runs...they were suppose to be at the top.

          Anyway....I don't see much validity to this method of deriving totals. This is extraordinarily basic and does not take into account other factors such as weather, starting pitchers, bullpens, stadiums, starting lineups, trends, etc that can influence totals.

          Moreover, averages are very suspectable to outliers. A few double digit run totals especially at this stage of the season can really impact season average run total such that the average total is very misleading.

          I would say take a look at the average run total as one piece of information but that's it. If you are just looking at the average run total and basing your play on that, I don't think you will be able to show a profit. Remember, the linesmakers who set these totals have that same info you do....
