I know i am new to the site, but not new to gambling, i made my way over here from another site that is in the process of making major changes and bringing in moderators that like to come and bash people on the forum. Sorry for messing up your thread, Molodamus. With that behind me

My thought on tonights game and were i lean would be over 9, look to see both pitchers get shelled to some extent, and i think pedro martinez is way overrated, look to see the yankees bounce back from the beat down with cliff lee pitching lights out, thinking the games ends somewhere 6-4 yankees

gl and once again sorry for bringing in other stuff to your thread, just wanted to explain myself before electing to act like i know what i am doing.

Not going to mention website, but i am sure you can google my name and i have been proven to be pretty good in all sports

Welcome gator! I'm actually leaning towards Phil ML or Phil +1.5. I'm not sold on Burnett, or Pedro for that matter, but there is better value on those lines in my opinion. GL

Agree with this. Think the yanks will win, but wouldn't wanna lay 190.

going big on over 9! Pedro is done and Burnett is not gonna be able to hold all the lefty bats in check. Minimum 12 runs tonight.

Who in their right mind would take ANY OF THESE 3?!?!?! Wow.

The Yankees have 3 dead-outs at the bottom of their lineup and you want them and the over?!

3 dead outs at the bottom of the lineup and 6 others that can destroy Pedro every other inning. Over is the bet tonight for sure. Put it in the books!

I'm leaning on the over as well. The yankees bats will show up tonight. I'm expecting to see 4 homeruns in this game.

LOL.. He'd be the first starting pitcher they destroyed this postseason.

If you think Pedro is going to get rocked, you're going to be very disappointed tonight. There is absolutely no evidence to back up that logic. I heard that same kind of malarky when he went up against the Dodgers.

Thanks for everyone's input. I think I will go with the Over 9 runs. With two heavy lefty hitting lineups going against two right handed pitchers, I believe this is the best bet for me tonight. AJ can be shaky and the Yankees has always been able to hit Pedro. Tough for me to choose a side to play as theres not much value in the Yankee ML and I HATE playing RLs. And one would think the Yankees should come out and win game 2 because if they lose the series is pretty much over. So I cannot take any sides with the Phillies either.

That's nice to say that except it isn't true.

                                    Pedro Martinez vs NYY career

                                    216.2 IP, 261 Ks, 3.20 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, .211 BAA

                                    Robinson Cano, 0 for 12 lifetime, .000
                                    Jose Molina, 1 for 8 lifetime, .125
                                    Hideki Matsui, 4 for 28 lifetime, .143
                                    Mark Teixera, 1 for 6 lifetime, .167
                                    Jorge Posada, 11 for 60 lifetime, .183
                                    Melky Cabrera, 1 for 5 lifetime .200
                                    Johnny Damon, 5 for 25 lifetime, .200
                                    Derek Jeter, 22 for 86 lifetime, .256

A-Rod had some success, 16 for 55, .291, but not exactly torching him.

Pedro had a 2.95 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, .205 BAA in 16 starts at old Yankees Stadium.

Do you always just shoot from the hip and make up statistics when handicapping?

I don't care how many MPH are off Pedro's fastball. If he has command of his pitches (as he did vs the Dodgers), the Yankees WILL NOT hit him hard. The best they'll be able hope for is 2 or 3 runs over 6 IP.

I don't really have a feel for this game tonight way too many possibilities the play i really like is the phillies team total over 4 +110. I think no matter what direction this game goes i dont see the burnette or the yanks bull pen keeping the phils under 4 runs.
