Game Time: 4/9/2007 7:00:00 PM -
By: Marc Lawrence
With Jeff Suppan on the hill and strong in his career versus the Marlins, back the Milwaukee Brewers this evening in sunny Florida.
The Brew Crew takes on the Marlins in sunny Florida knowing right-hander Jeff Suppan had a solid spring training and hurled a good first game last week.
Suppan took the loss last Wednesday despite pitching well for Milwaukee against the Dodgers. In nine career starts versus Florida Suppan is 3-2 with a 3.04 ERA, going 2-0, 1.33 in over his last three starts against the Marlins. His opponent for Florida, Anibal Sanchez, is off a strong rookie campaign that included a 1-0 record and 2.08 ERA in two outings versus Milwaukee. But Sanchez was roughed up in a no-decision last Wednesday against the Nationals.
With the Fish in off a series win over the Phillies, look for Suppan to improve to 7-3 in his career team starts against Florida here tonight.
