    Willie.........

I'm here in denver........here is the forecast:

Temperatures will also be unseasonably cold through most of the weekend. Temperatures in the metro area will struggle to reach above freezing Saturday afternoon and will then drop into the 20s for the Rockies Game before falling into the teens by daybreak on Sunday.

Correct me if I am wrong...I have been to Denver a few times and isn't it incredibly tough to tell the weather. You can get a general idea but it literally changes every half hour sometimes because of the mountains.....

SmackdownV how do you feel about the total. Will the weather play a big enough role to give the under an edge?

The Phillies LOST this series yesterday by blowing through starters in the rotation to win the game.

Rocks DO NOT lose at home.............

I would take the Rocks ML and the Over.

That old man is going to get LIT THE F UP on Sat.......and cold weather games favor the Rocks.

              Just look at 2007.

I will be playing NCAA tomorrow........

I only bet baseball when it's on during the day or I see a clear advantage.

I'm not being a Homer here........but the ROCKS will take games 3-4. Our post-season crowd here at Coors Field is the BEST in MLB.

Dodgers crowd just goes to be "seen"
LAA crowd good......but still not crazy
Phillies fans get too down too early and kills the team
Minny fans are the closest to the Colorado fans for "Rally Time"
St. Louis fans won't be too bad since they will all be too nervous
Yanks fans.......good but see Dodgers fans.
Red Sox fans are crazy......equal to Rockies fans

Rockies fans get Flippin crazy and give the hitters that edge you need to win in post-season MLB.

100% confident on my statement that the Rocks end this here and not go back to Philly.

Appreciate it Smack, if something changes and you have the time to play Hippy Dippy Weatherman in this thread, all the better.

By the way, it's also going to be cold here in Central Texas tonight, should see the thermometer dip to the mid-50s for the first time since around early April

True 'dat. One of my old Aggie roommates lives in Parker and he says you could sell out Mile High for a fcukin' spelling bee.

I love the Phillies but losing that game yesterday was the end for them.

They won't come here and win with our fans.

                      Think about Sunday:

We have the Broncos vs. Pats.............I'm 1,000,000,000% on the Broncos for a shit ton of units.

Then the nightcap of the Rocks vs. Phillies.

It will be a CRAZY Sunday here in Denver.

The Philadelphia Phillies will have Pedro Martinez starting Saturday's Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Colorado Rockies, Phillies manager Charlie Manual announced.

"He says he's ready and he's up for it," Manual said during a press conference at Coors Field on Friday.

Martinez will be the first right-handed pitcher starting for the Phillies this postseason. Lefty Cliff Lee got Philadelphia a win in Game 1, with five strikeouts and no walks in a complete-game outing. However, fellow southpaw Cole Hamels had a rough go Thursday in Game 2, getting saddled for four earned runs in a 5-4 Rockies win to even the series.

Martinez was 5-1 with the Phillies during the regular season, with a 3.63 earned-run average. His best start came on September 3 against San Francisco, when he struck out nine and allowed no walks in a 2-1 win in Philadelphia.

Against the Rockies, Martinez is 2-3 with a 4.31 ERA in 10 games - eight of them complete outings.

Martinez is no stranger to the playoffs. He has a 6-2 career record in four postseason outings - all while with the Boston Red Sox.

Colorado counters with Jason Hamel, who went 10-8 in the regular season with a 4.22 ERA. Should the Rockies win Game 3, it sets the Rockies up with 15-game winner Jason Marquis for the potential series-clinching Game 4 on Sunday.

Saturday's Game 3 is set to start at 7:37 p.m. MST, with Sunday's Game 4 to start at 8:07 p.m. Both games will be televised on TBS

Martinez is going to get SHELLED on Sat.

Hamel will give up runs.........but Pedro is going to get SHELLED.

Then we have Marquis for the clincher!

                        Rocks all Day!

Pedro on the road has a 5.66 ERA and the opponent is batting .322 in 20.2 innings pitched.

Phillies bullpen is shot and Phils won't win 1 game in Denver.

Now we just need the Cards to rally for a good matchup.

Cards vs. Rocks = Rocks in the world series again! Since the Cards can't beat us.

Pavy, I don't think it will dip that low until the pre-dawn hours on Sunday, if then. Probably in the 32°F-35°F range for the start of the game.

Good luck to your team Smacker. For your sake I hope they win. God knows they wont beat the Dodgers. That is how the baseball gods are going to get the Dodgers/Yanks matchup the execs want. Torre coming back to the stadium couldnt be better. Be carefull with your bets brother cause the Phils have an explosive offence that can shred any pitcher. It could be 5-0 phils after the top of the 1st in any of those games. I wouldnt discount Pedro either he is out to prove something.

Cool. That means no need to bring a cooler for Coors beer. Just grab a 12 pack from the back of your truck and go in the stadium.
