Yankees over either the Twins or the Tigers. Line will probably be around -300 though.

This pains me to post, but I see my Dodgers losing to the Cardinals. The way the Dodgers bats have been lately, I don't see them beating Wainwright or Carpenter. I hope I'm wrong though.

think playing in la will neutralize their pitching advantage somewhat, meaning the dodger starters are likely to throw well at home

              Cards -135ish over Dodgers
              Cards to win NL
              Cards to win World Series
              Red Sox -140ish over Angels
              Rockies +150 over Phillies

Best Bet = Cards to win NL

I actually think Cards -135 for series is a gift. Cards have great pitching while Dodgers staff is not nearly as good as recent years. St. Louis has TWO CY Young contenders (Carpenter, Wainwright), Pineiro would have won 20 games if he had gotten any run support in the first half of the year and even Smoltz has looked good since coming back to NL. And also unlike past years, the Cardinals have a solid bullpen this year.

Choosing the Rockies is just so ridiculous that it makes sense. A team that is supposed to go nowhere that surpises people every year. Phillies were one game better beating up on two punching bags while the West was a lot better than many people expected.

The Cards have the two best hitters and the two best pitchers out of the two teams. That alone should make it a no brainer. Good thing they ended the year so terribly that people are counting them out and we can get a good payout on them.

LAA and BOS is going to be the best matchup imo. LA's got home field advantage which doesn't make much of a difference to them but makes a huge difference to Boston, the only (good) team in the playoffs with a sub-500 record on the road. I think that'll be the difference maker.

Yankees vs Detroit - Yankees hands down. Yankees vs Twins - again Yankees but I can see Minnesota building on the momentum and red hot offense to take an upset so I'd probably avoid the bet given the poor payout the Yankees would have.

You trust Pineiro as the 3rd starter? Despite putting together a nice season, he was one of the worst starters in baseball for the better part of the last five years. Power pitchers win this time of year, and Pineiro sports one of the lowest K rates in the game.

Billingsley's the most important player in the series. If he pitches like he's capable of, LAD, not the Cards, have the pitching advantage - LAD's bullpen significantly better.

Kershaw has the best arm of any pitcher in this series.
