I think so
ATLANTA -- Julio Franco figures it is inevitable that he will become the oldest player to hit a home run in a major league game.
He's getting close.
Only 10 days shy of his 47th birthday, Franco hit a three-run shot to lead the Atlanta Braves past the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-5 on Saturday.
On June 27, 1930, Jack Quinn was eight days shy of his 47th birthday when the pitcher hit a homer for the Philadelphia Athletics.
"Those are records that mean a lot because you stayed in the game for a long time, but I want to play until I'm 50 and I know I'm going to hit another one," Franco said.

Julio Franco freaks me out. I remember years ago a group of guys I knew would have home run pools every year. We'd pick quite a few players so Julio Franco would come up every year.
It seems like so long ago. He was in these pools along with Doug Decinces, Ted Simmons, Pete Incaviglia, Steve Balboni, Tim Wallach.
It's hard to believe he's still chugging along.

That would be cool if he made it to his 50th birthday. Julio is a real solid player.

Julie was playing right field when Ventura charged the mound against Nolan Ryan.
