    Preseason Trivia - Feb 21
Alfonso Soriano smacked 46 homers last year for the Nationals, finishing third in the National League in the category behind Philly's Ryan Howard (58) and St. Louis's Albert Pujols (49).

Who was the last slugger to hit 46 or more homers for a Washington club and NOT lead his league in long balls?

      Way to go, Benz

Frank Howard is the answer. Hondo swatted 48 flies in 1969 for the Washington Senators II, but finished second to Twins slugger Harmon Killebrew who had 49 HR.

You lucky son of a gun! That's one of the old parks I wish I had gotten around to seeing. Howard was always one of my favorites, undoubtedly my favorite athlete to ever come out of Ohio State.
