As the regular season comes to end, I have 2 MLB plays in store to build a small BR for Georgia Tech/The U this Thursday
1) TB v BAL
The jolly green giant Niemann with a pretty good season so far, takes the mound for the Rays fresh off their 11 game losing streak. Berken has had a rough season, going only 4-11 for the O's. These teams pretty much trade games back and fourth. TB wins at home, BAL wins at home- no big suprises here both these teams can hit.
Niemann has been hot latley, even pitching great games vs BAL. But Niemann's great ERA numbers are also riddled with 4 or 5 ER road performances in between. If there is ever a time to play against Niemann it's a road game.
Berken faced the Rays about a month ago and gave up 5ER, but that was on the road. I think Berken will be better this time at home. It helps that the Rays bat's lately have been cold. Upton is listed as day to day, but that didn't stop him from drilling a solo HR last night.
I don't know who wins this game, but I'll take a chance on the O's coming out swinging, and tacking a couple runs on the board early. I hope Berken can keep his cool and not piss away any lead this potent O's offense can give him. Niemann should go deep in this game. If he's going to get hit it has to happen early.
BAL +120 1st 5
2) CHCWS v SEA
SEA having the best bullpen in the league, and starting someone as terrible as Snell, I think I have another 1st 5 play in the ChiSox. Podsednik, Quinten and company get to Snell early. Not to mention Garcia is a BEAST on the road.
I was planning to watch this game on WGN, so I pretty much have to play CHC. Otherwise I'd have to kill those biased bast_ard announcers!
I hate those guys.
