What is wrong with Raul Ibanez?
Ever since coming back from injury this guy has been ice cold and has taken the Phillies offense with him. He's still hitting in a key slot and is blowing opportunity after opportunity to put up some runs. The reasons the Phils were so red-hot to start the season was largely due to Ibanez and now he's just created a fairly large hole in the offense.

    Wha' happened?

I think it is a vision problem. I read that somewhere he said he was having trouble seeing the ball through. He is a key part of Phillies offense. He needs to get it fixed cause it is starting to be serious problem for the Phils. Brian Mccann Had a problem similar, now he wears glasses and his batting is much improved. Phillies are really missing that extra boost of offensive pow from Ibanez!

              No dudes,

It's just he is an older player and takes longer to recover from an injury.
I think he is not fully recovered from his injury, and it is showing.

Yeah cuz why would he be able to see the ball fine the earlier part of the season then all of a sudden his vision goes bad? i dont think your vision just goes out like that........maybe i am mistaken though

I dont think the juice would wear off so fast, even if he was on it. The guy's injured and is trying to play "tough guy". He needs to just speak up and get some rest before the playoffs begin.

I don't think he's regressing to the mean either. This guy was hitting 100 RBI seasons year-after-year for the Mariners for ****'s sake. He must be ailing or just in a monster slump. The whole team can't hit though so that's not helping either. Lidge is also a joke.
